FNS worked closely with IBM's Innovation Center for Business Partners in Sydney, Australia to complete the migration of the database. Now financial institutions that prefer to operate BANCS on IBM's eServer pSeries(R) line of servers, running UDB may do so. BANCS is also available on zSeries, Sun Solaris, HP Superdome and Microsoft Windows(R) operating systems.

Tony Ward, Managing Director of FNS, said, "FNS is committed to open systems in order to provide our clients with the widest ranges of choices. Our successful migration to UDB on AIX enables FNS and IBM to work closely on joint opportunities."

BANCS is a global banking solution that can be customized to a bank's needs and enables banks to generate incremental fee income through more tailored services and greater pricing flexibility.
