ClariFI, a leading provider of software and services focused on quantitative portfolio management and research, announced today that Jefferies, a global investment bank and international securities firm focused on growing and mid-sized companies and their investors, has adopted ModelStation to support its quantitative strategies group.

Jefferies chose ModelStation for its robust backtesting and strategy simulation capabilities and is using the technology to develop custom strategies and optimal trading parameters for strategy execution. ModelStation provided turnkey integration with their third party data warehouse and proprietary SQL database allowing them to import custom sector definitions into the product for analysis.

"ModelStation enables us to get our strategies into production in a fraction of the time by eliminating the programming, debugging, and recompilation efforts that are typical with our type of workflow," said Vlad Portnoy, Head of Quantitative Strategies at Jefferies & Company, Inc. "The flexibility of ModelStation has also made it easy for us to leverage code that we have developed outside the system and we've found their client service team to be very responsive and adept at helping us create new custom scripts."

"ClariFI is best known for its ability to support the quantitative portfolio management and research needs of buy-side institutions and hedge funds," said Gioel Molinari, President and CEO of ClariFI. "We are very happy to have Jefferies as a client because they demonstrate our ability to support the requirements of sell-side desks as well. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Jefferies and providing them with the products and services they need to gain a competitive advantage."
