Pyxis Mobile, a leading provider of wireless investment software that meets the diverse needs of the financial services industry, today announced the availability of their mPlatform suite of wireless applications for Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 powered devices.

The enhancement underscores Pyxis Mobile's commitment to being the anytime, anywhere data provider of business-critical information to financial services professionals.

Financial services professionals have become increasingly mobile, requiring consistent, direct, and up-to-the-minute information to drive sales, provide exceptional customer service, and effectively manage clients and prospects. Pyxis Mobile's mPlatform solutions extend critical information from the desktop and the market to the mobile device by providing instant access to CRM, sales, portfolio holdings and performance, and real-time market news and quotes.

The decision to develop the Windows Mobile version of mPlatform applications came as a result of a 2006 survey of Pyxis Mobile's customers and prospects. In this survey it was clear that demand for Windows Mobile is growing, and having its finger on the pulse of the financial services industry, this demand from customers drove Pyxis Mobile to action.

"Given financial services professionals' increasing desire to be mobile, we're committed to driving that mobility on the platforms demanded by our customers," said Shane Hughes, President and CEO of Pyxis Mobile. "We're also enthusiastic about partnering with a powerful brand in computing technology and business services."

"Windows Mobile helps businesses extend their existing infrastructures by providing employees access to email, calendaring and applications while on the go," said Alfredo Patron, director at Microsoft Corp. "We are pleased to have a partner ecosystem that includes great software developers like Pyxis Mobile to support the specialized needs of key enterprise verticals like financial institutions."
