Imagine Software, a leading provider of on-demand trading, portfolio, and risk management solutions for the global financial services industry, today announced that Hong Kong-based DragonBack Capital Ltd., a start-up multi-strategy hedge fund, has selected the Imagine Trading System as its platform for portfolio and risk management.

Robert Lance, CEO of DragonBack, commented on why he selected Imagine's ASP-based service, Derivatives.com: "After examining many competing vendors and products, we chose Imagine because of the critical advantages our pilot testing revealed. It quickly became clear that the Imagine system delivers precisely the sophisticated, integrated portfolio and risk management business functionality we needed for efficient execution of long/short, volatility arbitrage, and relative value strategies—with real-time performance."

He continued: "One of Imagine's key strengths is its ability to provide operational efficiencies by acting as a real-time central hub for integrated STP. Beginning with the integration of our order entry system and continuing through to data feeds to our prime brokers and fund administrators, Imagine enabled us to realize our vision of STP.

"Lastly, we liked the fact that Imagine is clearly committed to growing its local presence in Asia Pacific, devoting significant business and technical support resources to its new Hong Kong office along with its established location in Sydney. The speed with which Imagine accomplished the integration with our order entry system demonstrated its strength in local customer support and its deep industry expertise."

Yvonne Dahl, Director of ASP Sales & Marketing, added: "We're delighted that DragonBack has selected Imagine for its integrated, real-time portfolio and risk management needs. The performance, tangible business benefits, and time-to-market advantages that convinced them to select Imagine will be shown to a range of buy-side businesses via live product demonstrations at our booth during the GAIM Asia 2007 event in Hong Kong."
