Osaka Securities Exchange and Taiwan Stock Exchange sign MoU

Osaka Securities Exchange Co (OSE) and Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) announce that TSEC and OSE have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The objective of this MOU is to facilitate the development of the securities market both in Taiwan and Japan by improving cooperation in PR activities in each market and promoting information exchange.

Michio Yoneda, the President & CEO of OSE said, "OSE and TSEC take the first step to strengthen further cooperation. Globalization has been progressed both in investment activities and in the financial capital market. We hope this MOU will not only improve developments in the Japanese and Taiwanese markets, but also provide a substantial advantage for investors in the entire Asian region as well as the worldwide investors."

Samuel J. S. Hsu of TSEC, said: "TSEC has been endeavoring to achieve international collaboration with Exchanges worldwide. We value this win-win opportunity of developing a sustaining mutual relationship with Osaka Securities Exchange. I am firmly convinced that this MOU is for the long term interest of both Exchanges in promoting securities markets. In the future, based on this new milestone, we hope to further develop cross-listing and trading mechanism to bring cross-border prosperity to investors at both ends."
