Established in 1996, SecurePipe provides information security and compliance solutions to financial institutions, large companies and small-to- medium-sized businesses to help them meet regulatory and industry compliance standards through best-of-breed proprietary technologies. SecurePipe's comprehensive suite of managed services is delivered from its state-of-the-art network operations center, which is staffed 24x7x365 by security engineers.

As a result of the acquisition, operations of both companies will be completely integrated. SecurePipe's Network Operations Center (NOC) will become the company's primary NOC. In addition to its own solutions, AmbironTrustWave will begin offering support for all SecurePipe products and services, including:

  • Secure E-mail - Industry leading e-mail security service that can be quickly activated with minimal changes to an organization's network, and can easily be customized to address any security and compliance-related requirements. Through secure e-mail, businesses are able to leverage agile controls for inbound and outbound email, adapt highly granular filtering options to meet the needs of their network and various users and have full access to dynamic reporting capabilities. E-mail security is an increasingly desired solution for businesses and organizations seeking to protect the content of their e-mail while blocking spam and other online hazards such as viruses.
  • Network Security Monitoring - This service features a proprietary correlation procedure to monitor ongoing events and watch for patterns indicative of more serious threats or extended attack activity. Extensive reporting options help summarize events and facilitate the review of event specific details as necessary. The maintenance of reporting data also demonstrates a proactive security posture for security assessors.
  • Intrusion Detection System - This service enables companies to benefit from IDS technology without the hassles of managing it themselves. A dedicated staff of network security engineers monitors events on a 24x7x365 basis to identify suspicious activity and provide notification of actual threats.
  • Rampart Firewall - AmbironTrustWave will leverage SecurePipe's Rampart firewall appliance. Hundreds of financial institutions use this device as the first line of defense in their efforts to secure critical business information.

In addition, SecurePipe comes to AmbironTrustWave with a Statement on Auditing Standard 70 (SAS-70) Level 2 audit and having completed the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Inter-Agency Exam process.

"This acquisition significantly expands our footprint in the financial services vertical and enables us to offer clients additional top-shelf technology that can help them secure their critical business information, comply with the latest industry and regulatory standards and optimize network performance," said Robert J McCullen, CEO of AmbironTrustWave. "The combination of SecurePipe's robust security technologies with AmbironTrustWave's security and compliance management expertise, positions the combined company as a leading provider of end-to-end security solutions."

Art Roldan, CEO of SecurePipe, will remain with the company for a transitional period. "The acquisition of SecurePipe provides AmbironTrustWave with the additional technology and capabilities necessary to provide data security and compliance solutions to any organization that is trying to secure information assets," added Roldan.
