Clients of Infotec's MarketMap and Online Financial (OFT) products already can choose a Dow Jones news service as part of their basic Infotec package. From 1 July 2004, banking, brokerage, asset-management and other financial-service professionals in Europe using Infotec's terminals will be able to select from the following additional services from Dow Jones Newswires:

  • MF-Dow Jones Italia: Dow Jones Newswires' Italian-language service
  • Commodities and energy services: ODJ TraderWire, Oil and Gas Service, dowPower (electricity and gas), ODJ MetalsWire and ODJ AgriWire
  • Foreign-exchange and fixed-income services: Bankers Report and Money Spotlight
  • UK Markets Report

Also, from July 2004, as a result of Infotec's recent partnership with Infotec-Ether Jpy Ltd., subscribers to Infotec's new browser-based OFT package for Japan will have the choice of one of Dow Jones Newswires' Japan Money, Global Equities and Financial Wire services.

These new bundled services are in addition to Dow Jones Premium Investment News Europe and Dow Jones European Equities Spotlight, which have been available on Infotec's terminals since this past December. Other local-language, commodities/energy, equities and treasury newswires from Dow Jones are available as optional services.

"Dow Jones' global presence and local-language support exactly matches Infotec's business aspirations," said Robert Jeanbart, chief executive officer, Infotec SA. "We had no hesitation in including its news services to help us expand Infotec's business throughout Europe and Asia."

"We're delighted that Infotec has decided to offer a broader range of our content as part of its standard financial-information package for users in Europe, and to be part of its new offering in Japan," said Michael Bergmeijer, vice president, international sales and marketing, Dow Jones Newswires. "We're confident that these services will help give Infotec's customers a competitive edge in their investment decision making."
