MEFF adds new members; establishes hubs in London and Chicago

MEFF, the Spanish Futures and Options exchange, announces the incorporation of four new participants, bringing its total number of members to 101.

The companies that have joined to date in 2004 are:

  • BNP Paribas Arbitrage, as Trading Member.
  • Banco Portugués de Investimento, as Trading Member.
  • Marquette Partners UK, as Proprietary Trading Member.
  • TIMBER HILL Europe, as Proprietary Trading Member.


The policy on the incorporation of new Members has led MEFF to set up a double communications hub in London, and in August it will complete an identical process in Chicago.

This infrastructure will allow it to rapidly prepare the incorporation of new participants in both cities, which Members in New York and Dublin will be connected too.

MEFF expects the incorporation of 9 new Members during this year, which will be connected to this international infrastructure.
