BT announced today that the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) has signed an agreement to distribute its market data globally.

BT will utilize BT Radianz's shared market infrastructure to support the distribution of the Exchange's real-time data. BT Radianz offers overseas investors and market data vendors an alternative connection to obtain end-of-day and real-time data from the TSEC.

Song-Chin Su, Senior Vice President, Taiwan Stock Exchange, said: "This move allows the exchange to market its content to the extensive global audience available on the BT Radianz shared market infrastructure. We chose BT and BT Radianz for their access to the global financial community as well as the benefits of high speed, low latency connectivity, which enables us to save time and money with lower infrastructure costs. We plan to leverage BT Radianz's worldwide presence to promote the exchange in all major market centers, creating international awareness and allowing TSEC to become a global player."

Richard Man, Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific at BT Radianz, added: "Having the Taiwan Stock Exchange on the BT Radianz shared market infrastructure is a significant addition as we expand further into the Asian exchange market. The major markets in Asia-Pacific are now connected through BT Radianz, and TSEC is the seventh major exchange to join our community. The addition of TSEC's market data feed enables off-shore buy-side firms to receive both low latency market data and Taiwanese broker execution connectivity through a single resilient connection."

Justin Chang, Vice President, Polaris Securities, said, "The addition of TSEC market data to the BT Radianz shared market infrastructure will create new opportunities for large sell-side firms like Polaris Securities. Our clients and partners will be able to receive low latency real-time data direct from the Exchange wherever they are located. In conjunction with this, we can utilize BT Radianz to connect to our overseas clients who actively trade the Taiwanese markets".

The Taiwan Stock Exchange joins more than forty other execution venues worldwide that currently distribute market data services or enable access to trading applications over BT Radianz. By utilizing the global footprint provided by the recently launched Extended Reach program, BT Radianz expects to continue expansion and access to exchanges and market data venues in Asia Pacific.
