TT_TRADER is an easy-to-use, simplified interface based on X_TRADER 7, TT's flagship order entry platform for professional derivatives traders. TT_TRADER builds on X_TRADER's core strengths and incorporates many key X_TRADER features, including:

  • Proven speed, reliability and functionality
  • High-speed connections to the world's leading futures exchanges, including the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Euronext.liffe and Eurex, using TT's existing high-speed gateway architecture
  • The patented MD Trader vertical market depth display, which allows immediate reactionto the market and single-click trade execution
  • Integrated charting, analytics and chart-based execution with X_STUDY

Unique features make TT_TRADER appropriate for retail trading applications:
  • Transactional billing provides a cost-effective solution for price-sensitive retail traders
  • Architecture is scalable and easily deployable to traders in any location
  • Centralized administration allows for easy user set-up and management
  • Integrated risk administration enables risk managers to monitor traders' positions and supports account-based risk checking

"Exchange traded futures contracts can be excellent risk management and portfolio enhancement vehicles for retail and individual investors. TT_TRADER will empower these traders by giving them access to TT's high-performance gateways, MD Trader, integrated analytics and other core features used by our professional customers. TT_TRADER also will provide traders with an upgrade path to our X_TRADER product," said Harris Brumfield, TT's CEO.

TT_TRADER will be available through TT's global distribution network.

Separately, Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT) announced today the pending launch of X_TRADER 7.4, an enhanced version of TT's market leading trading platform.

X_TRADER 7.4, which will be released in early December, features new capabilities and tools that provide traders with the highest possible levels of speed, efficiency and versatility. These features include:
  • Position in Queue (PIQ): PIQ indicates the number of contracts that are in front of a trader's order at any given price to provide an approximation of how close an order is to being filled.
  • Additional order types: X_TRADER 7.4 supports trailing stops, which can be entered as limit or market orders, and OCOs ("Order Cancels Order").
  • Integrated charting and analytics: Traders can now launch X_STUDY, TT's charting and analytics application, from within X_TRADER 7.4. X_STUDY charts display trade data directly from the execution stream, providing executable quality prices for analysis and trade decisions.
  • "Go to Market" button: A click of the "Go to Market" button in the Order Book window immediately changes highlighted working orders to Market orders for instant fills.

X_TRADER 7.4 also enhances features specific to Autospreader, TT's fully-automated spreading tool:
  • "Queue Holder": To maximize the chances for a favorable fill, Autospreader can manage up to six queue holder orders at consecutive price levels to reduce requoting and maintain the position in queue.
  • Custom pricing models and trading in yield: Traders can utilize custom yield-based spread pricing models directly within Autospreader. Further, fixed income spreads can now be traded as a difference in yield.
  • Round hedge orders: Get hedge orders to the market sooner with "Hedge Round", which automatically sends the hedge as soon as the quoted order quantity is more than halfway filled.
  • "Spread LTP": This feature provides more accurate spread prices by displaying last traded price (LTP) as bid-to-bid and ask-to-ask, or as last-to-last.
  • "Max Price Move" and "Max Order Move": New Autospreader safety features allow traders to define when Autospreader will pull orders based on maximum price or order movement.

"The innovations within X_TRADER 7.4 will equip traders with some very unique tools that are designed to take trading to new levels of performance. We think our customers will migrate to this new release of X_TRADER to take advantage of the increased flexibility and precision provided by the many new capabilities of this product," said Harris Brumfield, CEO of TT.
