Fiserv CBS Worldwide has officially launched CBS Teller, the company's new Smart Client teller solution.

CBS Teller, which has already been licensed by clients in Australia, Mexico and Thailand, represents the next generation of Fiserv's current solution, which is deployed today in multiple languages at teller stations around the world.

As a Smart Client using an application built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, CBS Teller combines the ease of web deployment with the power of local computing, providing management across dispersed branch networks. It delivers an intuitive and responsive user experience at the branch via Microsoft Windows Server 2003 so that tellers can rapidly transact business and focus on the customer experience. A full-function teller suite, CBS Teller supports a wide range of peripheral teller devices, offers ID and Signature image integration, simplifies multi-currency transaction processing and provides a detailed audit trail.

While CBS Teller is already integrated with Fiserv's international core banking solution, ICBS, it is capable of seamless integration with any core banking system. CBS Teller leverages its Smart Client architecture to gracefully handle any network interruptions, and is capable of operating off-line. CBS Teller can also leverage the capabilities of Fiserv Aperio, Fiserv's dynamic customer interaction management solution, to provide tellers with a single view of customer relationships and opportunities to optimize customer interactions.
"The combined Aperio-CBS Teller solution provides the perfect answer for the evolving teller role, which increasingly requires tellers to go beyond traditional transaction processing and take a more active role in sales and service. Working with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Fiserv continues to develop fresh approaches to financial services technology to provide the best regulatory, servicing and processing solutions to our clients," said Mr. John Macaluso, Chief Technology Officer, Fiserv CBS Worldwide.
