ABN Amro launches English language version of Web banking service

Starting today, ABN AMRO Internet Banking is also available in English. With the launch of the English language version, the bank meets the wishes of its more than 50,000 English-speaking customers. ABN AMRO is the first bank in the Netherlands to offer English-language Internet Banking services. The English-language version can be applied for via www.abnamro.nl/english.

Since its introduction in March 2001, over 1.5 million customers have signed up for ABN AMRO Internet Banking. This makes the bank market leader in this field. A recent customer satisfaction survey also confirmed that customers are more than satisfied with this service: over 75% of the users give Internet Banking a rating of 8 or higher on a scale of 10.

When ABN AMRO Internet Banking first came online, customers were mainly able to make various types of domestic payments and place investment orders. Meanwhile, the number of applications has multiplied, and the service has become much more user-friendly. Examples of recently added options include: foreign money transfers, online product purchasing, investment portfolio analysis and access to 18-month account history.
