Fiserv Inc. (Nasdaq:FISV) announced today that its Information Technology Inc. (ITI) business unit will implement the Premier® core system at Denmark State Bank in Denmark, Wis. The bank's decision to switch its current core system was based on Premier's ability to exceed the performance of its current system.

"While we weren't dissatisfied with our current provider, we felt a duty to investigate our options at contract renewal time," said Steve Peplinski, Denmark State Bank assistant vice president. "As we looked at Premier, we saw that, without sacrificing functionality, our people would be able to access all customer data from a single application, enhancing customer service while simplifying training and deployment." The bank will outsource its processing through the regional Fiserv ITI data center in Brookfield, Wis.

Available for both outsourced and in-house environments, ITI's openly integrated software suite offers products for virtually every function, including Internet banking, enterprise content management, executive intelligence, relationship management, branch automation and core accounting, all available on the industry's most popular hardware platforms.

"Besides the quality of the browser-based platform, we look forward to implementing ITI's Internet banking and bill pay packages and to integrating our check and document imaging processes," explained Peplinski. "We now have a clear and affordable path to branch capture and image exchange through the Fiserv Clearing Network, enabling us to create substitute checks when necessary and realize new efficiencies."
