The VhaYu Market Data Solution is a fast and easy-to-use market data solution that allows firms to capture, store and perform real-time analytics on both historical and real-time market data.

The new VhaYu XLStream allows quantitative analysts and traders who prefer operating in Excel 2003 to stream massive amounts of data directly to their spreadsheets to run analytics on real-time and historical data. This ground-breaking product will help users make faster, more efficient trading decisions very easily.

XLStream is being introduced at the SIA Technology Management Conference, June 8-10 at the New York Hilton at the VhaYu and Microsoft booths.

According to Jeff Hudson, VhaYu's CEO, "There are literally tens of thousands of traders and analysts who use Excel 2003 to build algorithms and run their analytics. With XLStream they can monitor not only on their watch lists as they've been doing all along, they can also run their algorithms on the entire market, monitoring tick-by-tick in real-time through the VhaYu Solution. With this announcement we deliver the unmatched speed of the VhaYu Solution to the desktop and make it so very easy to access and analyze real-time market data."

"By combining Microsoft Excel 2003's front-end ease of use and functionality with the high-performance and speed of the VhaYu solution at the back end, traders and analysts benefit by enhancing the value of the very models they're already using," said Kenny McBride, managing director, securities and capital markets, at Microsoft. Models many traders build and use in Excel 2003 include pre- and post-trade analytics, algorithmic trading, historical time and sales and real-time analytics, such as VWAPs, Bollinger Bands and Moving Averages for all securities.

"Today some users can access some data provided by legacy market data providers through Excel 2003," McBride added. "The problem is that only a small amount of data is available and the data delivery is slow. Additionally, the current methods have a reputation of being unreliable. VhaYu XLStream delivers all the data, instantaneously and reliably."

Many man years of effort has gone into the development of very sophisticated analytic models in Excel 2003. VhaYu XLStream gives these models new life by combining real-time streaming data and analytics with historical data and algorithms into the existing Excel 2003 models.

Microsoft Excel 2003 is part of the Microsoft Office System. The Microsoft Office System is an easy way to help more people use information to positively impact their business. Through a system of familiar and easy-to-use programs, servers, services and solutions, users can connect people and organizations to information, business processes and each other - helping ensure that they derive the most value out of information.
