AT&T Data Center Hosting and disaster-recovery services provide additional backup for mission-critical information and ensure always-available access for customers. In addition, these services will allow the bank to replicate its data for greater security and disaster recovery.
The International Bank of Miami is located in a hurricane zone, which makes backup and replication of data files critical in the event of a hurricane or severe tropical storms, which could knock out power to the bank's headquarters. Using a remote AT&T data center, the bank will enjoy reliable backup support with redundancy and disaster-recovery capability.
In alignment with AT&T's customer-focused convergence strategy, the solution provides increased data security and network reliability for the bank and will help improve customer service through increased uptime and continuous access to customer data.
"We needed a reliable provider to implement a secure backup solution to ensure continuous access to customer data in the event of a severe tropical storm or hurricane," said Ray Guzman, vice president of IT for The International Bank of Miami. "AT&T's hosting and disaster-recovery services will allow us to continue to serve our customers regardless of inclement weather or power outages."
