Jefferies & Company, Inc. is the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF).

Using Nexaweb's Enterprise Web 2.0 Platform, Jefferies has built and deployed Web-based versions of three home-grown fund relations, lead intelligence, and accounting management applications. The new Nexaweb-based applications deliver a customizable, browser-based user interface that functions like a client/server application. This improves usability, data availability, and scalability while enhancing the productivity of Jefferies' specialists in the capital markets and financial advisory services, institutional brokerage and securities research, and asset management areas of its business.

"Our operators are very selective about the usability they want from their systems," said Omer Soykan, Senior Vice President at Jefferies. "To build what they require, we needed a solution that would allow us to leverage our internal skills and develop applications where the users cannot distinguish that it's a Web application. Nexaweb's Studio, a component of the Enterprise Web 2.0 Platform, gives us the flexibility needed to quickly and easily modernize our applications and processes while gaining the enterprise-class qualities we require of our enterprise technologies."

"Whether the demand is for highly usable interfaces or the power of real-time, event-driven access to enterprise information, Nexaweb can provide the solution needed," said Chris Heidelberger, CEO at Nexaweb. "Nexaweb is thrilled to be expanding our presence in the financial services market and working with Jefferies at a time when the company is experiencing such strong growth in its businesses."
