First Data Corp. (NYSE: FDC), a leader in the electronic commerce and payments industry, has announced that its remittance division, REMITCO, has been awarded additional business from EchoStar Communication Corporation (NYSE: DISH).
REMITCO will begin processing an additional one million payments per month received from EchoStar's DISH Network users. This is in addition to the approximately two million payments per month that REMITCO processes already.

"We know that our customers' payments will be processed accurately and promptly allowing us to focus on our business."

EchoStar utilizes a full suite of solutions that REMITCO has to offer clients including full service processing, exception services, web-based image retrieval and advanced clearing solutions such as accounts receivable conversion.
Financial terms of the long-term contract were not disclosed.
