Simultia look at this as being the first part of a strategic technical relationship with Microsoft and look forward to developing the relationship further.

This programme has already enabled Simultia to develop its Generic Exception Manager solution (GEM) that delivers an innovative new approach to the successful and effective resolution of key business exceptions.

John Ridley, Managing Director of Simultia, said: "In our view Microsoft have the most productive commercial development tools available in Visual Studio and the .Net Framework. These, coupled with a compelling range of increasingly well integrated server products such as BizTalk, SharePoint Portal Server, SQL Server and Exchange Server allow Simultia to build more advanced solutions that enable us to meet our customers needs far faster than has previously been possible.

In addition Microsoft's Windows Server operating system now provides the levels of performance, robustness and scalability that leading customers are looking for. Together, Microsoft's 2003 operating systems, server products, and development tools are the ideal foundation for solutions that our customers in the financial markets can rely on to provide real business advantage."
