Unlimit, the global fintech company, today announced that it has partnered with ShipAfrica, a global logistics and shipping platform, to strengthen its parcel delivery operations and international cross-border trade.
This partnership sees ShipAfrica integrate Unlimit’s industry-leading unified payments platform, enabling customers to pay using more than 1000 local and international payment methods - from global card schemes to Mobile Money and bank transfers.
ShipAfrica’s online platform connects multiple African markets with the rest of the world, offering fast and affordable product collection and delivery services for both businesses and individuals. Unlimit’s unrivalled payment infrastructure enables the company to better serve diverse consumer preferences in regions where alternative payment methods dominate the payments ecosystem.
In Kenya, ShipAfrica customers can now pay using Pesalink, M-Pesa, and Airtel Money. In Tanzania, M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and Mixx are now supported. In Nigeria, customers can now complete transactions via bank transfers and card payments, enabling Nigerian users to access ShipAfrica’s services. The integration will also make payments available via major international card schemes across several African markets.
“Enabling cross-border operations is at the heart of Unlimit’s mission. By integrating Unlimit's payment platform, we are enabling ShipAfrica to receive payments locally in the markets where our customers are most active. This eliminates the friction of international payment processing, reduces transaction costs, and improves access for consumers who prefer local payment methods,” explains Walter Isoko, CEO, at ShipAfrica.
With revenue across Africa’s e-commerce sector projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.52% from 2025 to 2030, reaching US$61.78 billion by 2030, the demand for trusted, flexible, and scalable payments infrastructure has never been greater. As online retail accelerates, businesses increasingly need partners that can simplify cross-border operations, support diverse local payment preferences, and ensure seamless settlement across markets.
“Unlimit is deeply committed to supporting the new chapter of Africa’s e-commerce growth. Our partnership with ShipAfrica helps businesses scale by giving their customers access to familiar, reliable payment experiences across borders. Together, we’re reducing operational costs, avoiding settlement delays, improving cash flow, and enabling merchants to tap into the full potential of Africa’s fast-growing e-commerce economy,” adds Irene Skrynova, Chief Customer Officer at Unlimit.
This partnership underscores Unlimit’s commitment to empowering fast-growing markets with scalable financial solutions, removing barriers to trade, and helping companies like ShipAfrica expand their global reach through seamless, localised payments.
