GL Trade, first SWX Swiss Exchange FIX Network Connectivity Provider

GL TRADE, global provider of electronic trading, clearing and settlement solutions, is the first ISV to acquire the Network Connectivity Provider status, having developed a Service Bureau offer in conjunction with SWX Swiss Exchange. This service, developed after intensive consultations with the SWX Swiss Exchange, will offer members connectivity to both SWX and virt-x trading platforms, with a more streamlined and cost effective approach.

Present and future members of both Exchanges can now benefit from one FIX gateway connection to both central trading engines and, at the same time, have the opportunity to outsource their trading platforms. This means that trading and data feed servers can be hosted and maintained by experts in that field, leaving the client to concentrate on core business.

This announcement follows GL TRADE’s recent agreements with both the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse for outsourced Service Bureau Exchange facilities.

Peter Keller, CEO of virt-x and Member of the SWX Group Executive Committee stated, "This partnership will help potential new members to access more effectively our two platforms and profit without delay from the wide product portfolio of SWX Swiss Exchange as well as virt-x."
