Channel 4’s consumer investment arm, Channel 4 Ventures has agreed to invest £5 million, with a further £2.5 million to be invested subject to certain milestones, in media-for-equity in OneDome, the UK-based housing and fintech superapp transforming how people buy and finance homes.
The investment forms part of a larger funding round that OneDome is preparing to announce later this year.
The new funding will be used in 2026 to launch a major national marketing campaign promoting OneDome’s award-winning HomeBuyer Service — an all-inclusive homebuying package that integrates mortgages, conveyancing and the management of your purchase into a single fixed-price product.
OneDome has experienced explosive growth over the past two and a half years, with topline revenue increasing by more than 4,000% and over 245% year-on-year growth this year. With a current annualised revenue run rate exceeding £20 million and positive EBITDA, OneDome aims to triple its revenue again by the end of 2026.
The deal supports Channel 4’s wider goal of diversifying its revenue streams as it transitions to becoming a digital-first public service streamer, as laid out in its Fast Forward Strategy.
Vinay Solanki, Head of Channel 4 Ventures, said:
“This partnership is yet another example of how Channel 4 can create significant commercial benefits for the businesses that collaborate with us, pairing the unrivalled power of TV advertising with our investment expertise. OneDome is tackling one of the toughest and most important consumer challenges — making the home buying journey simpler, faster and more transparent. It is already one of the fastest growing scale ups in the UK, and we believe it has the potential to transform how people approach one of life’s biggest financial decisions. We’re delighted to partner with Babek and the OneDome team as long-term partners, bringing the reach of Channel 4’s platform to help scale the brand nationally. Their vision and execution are impressive, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to innovate, expand and make home ownership more accessible for millions of people.”
Babek Ismayil, Founder and CEO of OneDome, added:
“The home buying experience is broken, disjointed and stressful. We developed the HomeBuyer Service to offer customers a totally different, fully integrated experience. Instead of juggling multiple service providers and managing the process themselves while working full time, buyers can now purchase one fixed-price service that includes everything they need to complete a home purchase. We believe this service will fundamentally change how people buy properties in the UK, and I’m pleased and grateful that Vinay Solanki and the Channel 4 team have joined us in our mission to make the HomeBuyer Service a mainstream product."
