Bank of America today announced that InstaQuote, Banc of America Securities' (BAS) trader workstation, has exceeded 6,000 global users for transactions in securities listed on U.S. exchanges.

Launched to BAS' buy-side client base in 2004, InstaQuote is a direct market access application that provides integrated order management, analytics, portfolio maintenance, back office capabilities, direct quotes and access to BAS' menu of algorithmic trading strategies.

"Surpassing 6,000 users is a testament to InstaQuote's ease of use and execution quality and also demonstrates the value of our integrated product strategy, which facilitates client access to a broad range of Banc of America Securities' services," said Bill Harts, head of equity strategy for BAS.

In addition to providing third-party connectivity to the industry's top order management systems and liquidity aggregators, BAS also offers InstaQuote users the ability to private label the software in order to build stronger relationships with their own clients.
