MTM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTMC), a leading national provider of innovative IT solutions and services to Global 2000 and mid-size companies, today announced the completion of a significant phase of their engagement with Brandywine Global Investment Management, LLC.

The technologies and services deployed in this phase included server consolidation and virtualization, storage area networking, IP telephony, and data center and facility design.

Founded in 1986, Brandywine Global Investment Management, LLC manages over $30 billion in assets for more than 330 clients globally. The firm is headquartered in Philadelphia, with satellite offices in Chicago, San Francisco, and Singapore.

With their impending move to a new headquarters in Philadelphia, Brandywine Global engaged MTM Technologies to provide comprehensive consultation, planning, and implementation services, upgrading the investment firm's critical data and legacy voice systems with a mix of advanced virtualization, consolidation, and convergence solutions.

"In order to provide our clients with the best possible service and performance, we have always maintained a progressive attitude towards adopting technologies that will enhance the client experience," said Larry Kassman, Brandywine Global's Chief Administrative Officer. "With the technical expertise that MTM Technologies brought us, we have been able to radically improve the capabilities that our IT department delivers to both our internal and external customers, while increasing efficiency, improving manageability, and actually reducing our IT costs. MTM Technologies' strong experience in the financial industry, as well as their broad and deep expertise across a wide range of technologies, makes them an invaluable resource to Brandywine Global Investment Management. We are extremely pleased with the results they delivered with our recent move, and we look forward to working with MTM Technologies for both the ongoing management of our current system as well as on future projects."

Central to the firm's new technology platform is a virtualized server solution, featuring a new blade center. In addition to managing Brandywine Global's increasing need for greater processing power, both for now and in the future, this solution will increase server utilization, increase their operational efficiency, improve server manageability, and lower their total cost of ownership. The firm's new storage area network will adeptly manage their growing data storage needs, while providing high availability of data, improved storage utilization, enhanced performance, and a lower total cost of ownership.

To address their complex voice communication needs, Brandywine Global took advantage of the latest IP telephony technology, leveraging their advanced IP network infrastructure to deliver a reliable, state-of-the-art IP voice communication system. With this solution, they have not only eliminated expensive investments in both telephone and turret systems, but they have deployed a system that offers greater functionality, flexibility, manageability, and scalability.

Bringing these technologies all together, MTM Technologies provided comprehensive facilities planning services, data center design expertise, cabling services, and project management. This phase of MTM Technologies' engagement with Brandywine Global was largely deployed over a single weekend, as the investment firm moved its headquarters. There was no disruption of services during business hours, and the switchover was virtually transparent to both the company's clients and employees.

"Our work at Brandywine Global was a tremendous team effort," said Richard Roux, Vice President of MTM Technologies' Mid-Atlantic Region. "The successes we achieved at Brandywine Global, bringing together a multi-disciplined project of this magnitude is truly an endorsement of our team's technical expertise and its commitment to delivering excellence to customers. It is a privilege to work with Brandywine Global, and it is indeed an honor to have been selected as their IT partner and advisor."
