Having entered the Asian market in 2023, Candex has now established bases in Japan, China, Taiwan, and South Korea. CEO Jeremy Lappin commented, “Japan is an extremely important market for us, especially given the country’s emphasis on operational precision and compliance,” said Jeremy Lappin, CEO of Candex. “We’ve invested in a local team, customized our product for Japanese workflows, and are already seeing early traction with global and domestic companies. We’re extremely excited to scale our partnerships in this ecosystem.”

Lappin also mentioned the company’s stance on local partnerships in Japan:

“We have already collaborated with several companies, including those offering e-procurement systems and consulting services. We especially hope to partner with firms that support operational efficiency improvements and systems integrators involved in finance and procurement systems. We would like to continue expanding awareness in the Japanese market.”

At the event, Daisuke Kitamoto, Country Manager of Candex Japan, introduced the local market strategy, along with a customer comment from a company currently using the Candex platform:

“In our company, where we aim to respond quickly to business needs while ensuring compliance, Candex has been very helpful. It’s a pay-as-you-go model, so there is little risk — if it doesn't suit us, we can stop using it. It's also easy to roll out across multiple countries or divisions, which makes it highly scalable. That simplicity has helped accelerate our adoption.”

WiL (World Innovation Lab), a key investor in Candex, also shared its view on the company’s Japan expansion:
“We are proud to support Candex in its mission to simplify and modernize enterprise procurement,” said Gen Isayama, CEO of WiL. “Japan is home to many of the world’s most sophisticated and globally respected companies. We believe Candex’s highly configurable and intuitive platform is uniquely positioned to bring value to this market, and we are excited to support their full-scale launch here.”
