Nexi Group, the European PayTech, and Planet, a leading global provider of integrated payments and technology solutions for retail and hospitality customers, have signed a letter of intent to enter a strategic partnership.
This will see the two businesses come together as partners to provide integrated digital payments solutions, with a specific focus on the hospitality sector.
The partnership will leverage the best capabilities of both parties, combining Nexi’s pan-European expertise and local footprint - including best-in-class acquiring, omni-acceptance for local schemes and alternative payment methods, and digital customer operations - with Planet’s vertical focus and capabilities - from acceptance technology to enabling platforms integration and dynamic currency conversion capabilities.
This will create a set of best-in-class co-branded solutions, designed to provide flexible customer journeys and improve merchant conversion rates.

Nexi and Planet will start rolling out the joint offering first in the Nordics, with plans to expand the rollout to Italy and additional regions across Europe.
