Fiserv acquires The Jerome Group

Fiserv Inc. (Nasdaq:FISV) announced today that it has acquired The Jerome Group LLC, a leading provider of business-critical communications to industries such as financial services, healthcare, telecommunications services and retail.

Jerome, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., will become part of the Personix division of Fiserv Output Solutions. Jerome's revenue in 2005 was $44 million.

The Jerome Group is one of the nation's leading digital print providers and a full-service direct marketing firm. Ken Brown, a 26-year veteran of the organization, will remain as executive vice president and lead this new Fiserv division. The firm's more than 300 employees will join Fiserv.

Jeff Yabuki, president and CEO of Fiserv Inc., said, "The Jerome Group is an important addition to the growth strategy of Fiserv's Output Solutions Division. Jerome's unique ability to mass produce personalized marketing and membership materials will enhance Fiserv existing client relationships. In addition, we will be able to offer complementary services to Jerome's client base which consists of both mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies across the country."

Jorge Diaz, president of Fiserv Output Solutions, said, "Personix's goal is to help clients maximize the value of their corporate communications by focusing on card personalization and high volume transactional output such as statements, billing, checks and remittance advice. This acquisition will enable Personix customers to build greater loyalty and drive new revenues with state-of-the-art direct marketing capabilities."
