This strategic enhancement means Checkbook customers can use Visa Direct to deposit funds to bank accounts linked to over 4 billion debit cards in real-time.

For businesses, the faster availability of funds means improved cash flow management and operational efficiencies. Companies can now make immediate payments to their global freelancers and gig workers upon job completion, enhancing worker satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, businesses that rely on quick settlement of transactions, like insurance or consumer refunds, can now meet customer expectations for rapid service.

Checkbook’s Global Push-to-Card service is now live in multiple countries, with plans to extend its reach further in 2025. This launch significantly enhances Checkbook’s international footprint, aligning with the company’s mission to provide seamless, real-time payment solutions for businesses worldwide.

The expanded service utilizes Visa Direct’s extensive network, which offers access to 4 billion eligible cards. TipHaus, a Checkbook customer that offers automated solutions for tip pooling, tip distribution, and tip sharing, is one early adopter of Global Push-to-Card. The feature is especially beneficial for the service industry, where real-time processing of tips is essential.

“Checkbook’s push-to-card payments have revolutionized the way we manage payouts, providing real-time1 solutions that scale effortlessly,” said Leif Magnuson, CEO of TipHaus.

PJ Gupta, CEO and Founder of Checkbook, added: “Our collaboration with Visa Direct has enabled us to offer customers unparalleled access to fast, secure international payments. The success we’ve seen with clients so far underscores the growing demand for efficient cross-border payment solutions. We’re excited to continue driving innovation in this space.”

Visa also highlighted the significance of the collaboration. Yanilsa Gonzalez-Ore, SVP, Money Movement North America, Visa, said: “In today’s world, both in business and daily life, speed and transparency have become essential expectations rather than luxuries.

“This has supercharged demand for real-time payments across all business segments, and Checkbook’s new Global Push-to-Card feature, which delivers real-time payouts into accounts through debit cards, is a great example.”
