Crypto.com has today announced a further acceleration of its plan to offer traditional financial services products with the acquisition of Orion Principals Limited, regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Orion is an Abu Dhabi-based brokerage company and is licensed by ADGM to provide investment and ancillary services in relation to various financial instruments.
With this acquisition, Crypto.com will soon be able to offer eligible users financial products, including securities, options, futures, contracts for difference and more.
“We have a clear path set out in our product roadmap for 2025 - to offer our users the most comprehensive platform for a broad range of financial investment services,” said Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com. “We are continually growing our presence in the UAE, which has one of the strongest regulatory frameworks for the digital assets industry globally and we appreciate ADGM’s commitment to supporting innovation in our sector.”
Further details on the launch of these services for eligible users will be shared in the coming weeks.
This announcement follows a number of recent acquisitions for Crypto.com including the acquisition of Fintek Securities Pty Ltd., Charterprime Ltd and SEC registered broker-dealer Watchdog Capital, LLC.
In November, Crypto.com also announced its product roadmap for 2025 and the launch of Crypto.com’s most significant benefits and rewards experience ever through Level Up.
