TFP, formerly Thomson Financial Publishing, today announces its new name: Accuity.
The new name completes the transition of Accuity and its parent company, SourceMedia, Inc. from The Thomson Corporation.
Jeff Scott, president of Accuity, said that the company's new name represents a continuing mission and focus.
"Our new name is derived from two of our strongest attributes – Accuracy and Quality – and conveys our company's continuing mission to be a leading provider of insightful data, software and services that enable organizations to maximize efficiency and facilitate compliance of their transactions," said Scott.
A new logo accompanies the Accuity name and evokes powerful motion and forward-looking perspective – similar to that of SourceMedia. Its colors, blue, black and grey, express strength and reflect the company's 90-year history within the financial sector.
"Our new image is reflective of our customers' trust and a clear indicator that we are a crucial contributor in the industries we serve, delivering information that is fundamental to successful business operations," Scott added.
Accuity has also adopted a new corporate tagline "insightful solutions for sound transactions" which communicates the company’s dedication to the vision, quality and accuracy of its products, solutions and services.
The new company name, logo and tagline will begin appearing immediately in communications, on the new Web site and in advertising.
