Guardian Life extends Siemens IT outsourcing contract

Siemens Business Services, Inc. and Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian) today announced an agreement that extends their multi-million dollar outsourcing relationship an additional three years, until 2009. Guardian selected a performance-based model for their contract with Siemens Business Services.

Siemens Business Services is a responsive partner who delivers proven processes and the experience of a Global 25 company. Guardian outsources IT support services supporting 5,000 employees and 2,800 agents, empowering in-house technologists to focus on IT strategy and implementation in support of their core business strategies. Siemens Business Services' flexible contract delivers an on-demand model that maximizes savings for Guardian's IT Client Support Center, deskside and IMAC support services.

"Our services must be effective, flexible, measurable and, above all, align with our business goals," said Dennis Callahan, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Guardian. "With Siemens Business Services, we are enabled to consistently deliver on all of these attributes."

"Guardian's IT enterprise has accelerated its progress by implementing services that drive business performance," said John McKenna, CEO of Siemens Business Services. "Dennis Callahan understands that delivering outstanding technology performance to Guardian employees and field agents maximizes company performance."
