In just three months, Generali has implemented Metastorm BPM to automate and manage its car insurance renewal process along with a variety of back office processes that support these procedures.
"Like many insurance companies, our customer facing processes are critical to our business," stated Sonja Leban Gogala, director of sales channel, Generali Insurance Slovenia. "By automating our core processes using Metastorm BPM, we will be able to quickly realise its value, especially in terms of overall competitiveness."
Generali provides its clients with the ability to obtain quotes, request renewals and sign up for its car insurance services through two sales channels - a Web portal and a call centre - and needed a solution that could automate and enforce consistency and control over its processes across both channels easily while integrating with its legacy systems.
Generali selected Metastorm BPM based on the direction and advice of Trivium, a Metastorm partner. Trivium presented Metastorm as the perfect solution for the rapid development of a business solution within Generali's tight deadline. Metastorm was also selected for its agile and flexible development capabilities, its ability to easily integrate into legacy systems, and its easy alignment with the company's existing business processes. Metastorm is also serving as a key piece of Generali's infrastructure for additional process automation, which helps the company maintain competitive advantage in the Slovenian market.
"The insurance industry is a highly competitive market and companies need to maintain advantage by providing competitive premiums and excellent customer service," said Neil Berry, director of Central Europe for Metastorm. "Metastorm will help the company better manage and control its critical insurance processes and leverage internal resources. Generali's decision to select Metastorm BPM demonstrates the company's vision and leadership in the marketplace."
