ABN Amro invests in all-female founded climate-tech fund Blume Equity

Blume Equity is the fifth climate-related fund investment taken on by ABN AMRO Corporate Investments, and an important step in supporting and accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon economy.

Blume Equity, founded by three female entrepreneurs, is a climate-tech growth investor with an impact lens in disruptive European scale-ups. Through this investment, ABN AMRO will provide capital to businesses that are solving the climate emergency.

Blume Equity LLP is a London- and Amsterdam-based growth equity firm. Blume Equity Fund I SCSp, has recently been nominated by investors for the European VC Newcomer of the Year award. The team will close their capital raise in the coming months and expect to exceed their target capital of € 200 million. Blume Equity has already conducted five investments, including Sensorfact, a software platform for smart sensors to save energy usage, Aerones, a robot-enabled maintenance service provider for wind farms, and Normative, a carbon accounting platform. As part its climate strategy, ABN AMRO is investing a total of € 1 billion in early-stage capital through direct equity investments, fund investments and hybrid capital investments.
