The contract enables Man to run its Rolfe & Nolan processing systems on its own hardware, but operated and managed by Rolfe & Nolan staff at the R&N datacentres. In addition, Man announced the continued outsourcing of non-R&N products to Rolfe & Nolan for an extended term. Commenting on the announcement Chris Smith, Man Financial's Deputy Chief Executive said: "The continued extensive growth in our business means that it is absolutely vital for us to have a stable environment to support our expanding volumes - we cannot afford disruptions or distractions. Accordingly, it made sense to cement our long-term relationship with Rolfe & Nolan by extending our FM agreement for another 10 years utilising their obvious expertise in data centre management." Bob Freeman, Group Chief Executive at Rolfe & Nolan commented; "Three and five year renewals are fairly typical in this business. 10 years is unusual. Man Financial's decision is noteworthy in two respects: the length of time of the contract, and the confidence which they have in us as a vendor. We are extremely gratified by both and are proud to be associated with Man's phenomenal success story."
