ING Financial Markets has gone live with Anvil Software's Arts system to support repo trading at its New York and Amsterdam operations.
The new installations are part of the firm's global roll out of Arts. ING Financial Markets currently uses the system at its Singapore and Hong Kong offices.
Anvil says ING has also implemented its order management module at New York and Amsterdam, which allows dealers to manage trades across electronic markets.
The vendor has recently added batch order placement to the order management module, which makes it easier for traders to place multiple orders in the market. Users can manage lists of positions to be placed on the market without any re-keying. Positions can also be added and removed before they are submitted.
Huib Verbeek, director of European repo trading at ING Financial Markets in Amsterdam, says: "Batch order placement will make our desk very efficient, allowing us to place many orders on the markets simultaneously."
Verbeek says the firm is also looking forward to Anvil's dynamic alerts module, which will monitor activity on electronic markets and alert users of trading opportunities.
