Dallas-based Carreker Corporation is proclaiming a fraud prevention contract of more than $1 million with one of the four largest banks in Australia.
Carreker says it has been contracted to install its FraudLink On-us and FraudLink Deposit software to monitor potential fraudulent activity across all cheque transactions within the unnamed bank's operations. When the implementation is complete, Carreker says its software will be used to monitor more than half of all depository accounts in Australia. The system is expected to go live within 90 days.
FraudLink On-us is a mainframe-based system designed to assist banks in reducing cheque fraud losses by detecting counterfeit and forged cheques either at the teller station or in the back office. FraudLink Deposit is a software solution designed to enable the uncovering of potentially fraudulent deposit transactions by using bank-set parameters to identify criminal trends and comparing the information with account holders' established deposit history.
