The Microsoft Empower Programme is designed to help independent software vendors (ISVs) to develop products based on Microsoft technologies.

As part of the initiative, Financial Tradeware is migrating UltraSuite, its trading and portfolio managment system for IFAs, to the .Net platform.

Financial Tradeware says the platform is ideal for the development, implementation and execution of XML and Web services and will ensure easy interaction with existing Windows applications.

Alberto Fontana, UK MD for Financial Tradeware, says: "We are migrating to .NET because we find it is secure, stable, reliable, flexible, scaleable and built upon an open standard.

"Our next aim is to complete the migration as soon as is technically possible and to become a .Net Microsoft Certified Partner."
