Tradition NA renews Kalahari contract

Tradition NA, a US subsidiary of brokerage group Compagnie Financière Tradition, has renewed its licence for Kalahari's flagship pricing and analytics software, Kace.

Tradition currently uses Kace across its interest rate swaps, foreign exchange and interest rate options desks and has been using the system as its primary price discovery and analytics tool for the last two years.

Kace has over 1600 embedded calculations from maths library experts along with the vendor's own libraries. The system captures real-time data from a number of diverse sources and massages that data into a common format.

The software can incorporate third party and in-house libraries as well as spreadsheet models, and users can select from a series of pre-built pricing screens or compile their own using the in-built designer. Kace's open architecture also allows for the developement of bespoke analytics on site and without assistance from the vendor.

Prices can be shared across a firm's network, Internet or Intranet and information can be analysed in either two or three dimensions, allowing users to slice and dice the data and switch back and forth between different presentations.

Ted Muller, vice president and director of marketing and research, Tradition NA, says: "We need state-of-the-art pricing and analytical tools with a level of functionality that allows our brokers to create new models with the most up to date formulas."
