Bank of Cyprus is rolling out Fundtech's payments processing platform, Global PAYplus, across its network of branches.
Global PAYplus will replace various systems allowing the bank to reduce operational costs and deliver consistent payment services across the branches.
Fundtech says the softwre's Web-based front-end will enable the bank to automate most of the steps involved with initiating and researching payments.
The platform handles both domestic and cross-border payments and is also euro compliant.
Marina Stylianou, project manager, Bank of Cyprus, says the payments platform "provides a bank of our size with all the features and capabilities that used to only be available to the largest global banks."
