Lateko Bank deploys Misys Opics system

Latvia's Lateko Bank has selected Misys Wholesale Banking Systems' Opics solution to streamline its treasury operations and provide Web access to corporate customers.

Opics is an integrated treasury and capital markets product that delivers straight-through processing (STP) on a range of products in real time.

Misys says the system was chosen to manage the bank's increasing transaction volumes in foreign exchange and other treasury products.

Mr Svirchenkov, vice president, Lateko Bank, adds: "The high rates of STP will free us from manual intervention, allowing us to concentrate on serving our customers more efficiently."

Svirchenkov says Opics will also enable the bank to provide Web access to its corporate customers for trade execution, deal servicing and online account and transaction monitoring.
