Belgian financial IT company Callataÿ & Wouters (C&W) has set up an Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
C&W says the new office will target banks and financial institutions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
The vendor believes the Asian financial market is steadily regaining its momentum and firms in the region have intensified efforts to reach out to both corporate and consumer-based customers.
Commenting on the new office, Marc De Groote, C&W's head of international business development and expansion, says the financial system in Singapore is relatively more sophisticated compared to other Asian countries: "Singapore, as a leading financial hub in the Asia Pacific, is an ideal launchpad to create awareness of C&W in the region."
The vendor's first client in Singapore is Bank Sarasin-Rabo.
