UK bank HBOS is using technology from Intelligent Environments to support online credit card operations across all 400 of its affinity partner brands.
The iE system is hosted by LogicaCMG and allows customers to apply for the affinity credit card of their choice and then manage their account online. The software behind the system, developed using Microsoft's .NET technology, has co-branding capabilities which brand each partner site to give it its own corporate look and feel.
Neil Radley, managing director of cards at HBOS, says: "IE's software has, in a short period of time, enabled us to extend and enhance the service experience we offer our customers and affinity partners, in what is a highly competitive market place."
Phillip Blundell, chief executive of iE, claims the application of its NetFinance software provides a low maintenance and cost effective credit card system that has rapid 'time to market' advantages.
"This initial three-year contract is a fantastic endorsement for iE and our card software by HBOS, which is one of the fastest growing and well-known brands in financial services," he says.
