California-based eSignal, a division of Interactive Data Corp, has launched MarketCenter, an Internet-based service that provides real-time access to streaming market quotes from the major US and European exchanges.
MarketCenter is an ultra-thin client with quote windows, detailed snap quote windows, streaming charts with analytics and real time market scanners presented in a Java applet.
The system delivers quotes from over 30 exchanges including Nyse, Nasdaq, Amex and CBOt in the US and the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Boerse in Europe.
Customisable charting allows users to view candlestick, bar and line charts and to apply more than 15 overlaid studies to charts including Bollinger Bands, ADX, Moving Averages, Commodity Channel Index, MACD, Momentum and RSI.
The service features market scanners that search through more than 10,000 stocks in real time to retrieve information about top performers and laggards.
In addition, the MarketCenter interface includes a 'click to chat' button that allows users to contact a customer support representative and chat in real time.
