CTL has worked with MasterCard to develop the platform, which can handle Level 3 line item details and reporting for purchase and corporate transactions.

The bank has integrated the platform with MasterCard's Purchase Card solution, which features Smart Data OnLine (SDOL) for Web-based, real-time data management. ABN Amro will use the integrated purchasing card platform to service medium to large sized corporations, including its wholesale and corporate clients.

Peter Stuurman, senior product manager, payment services, ABN Amro, says: "The fact that Prime Biz can be operated by a handful of staff allows ABN Amro the possibility to offer the MasterCard Purchase Card to the market."

The Prime Biz system can also be used for other commercial card programmes.
