Bank of the Philippine Islands renews Fidelity contract

03 July 2003  |  3057 views  |  0 Bank of the Philippine Islands renews Fidelity contract

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has renewed a long-standing agreement with Fidelity Information Services (Fidelity) for the supply of software and services for its deposits, lending and customer data management operations.

This is the fifth time since inauguration in 1989 that BPI has extended its contract with Fidelity.

Fidelity's latest software releases are in line with the bank's Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) initiative, which is using IBM Websphere to integrate disparate IT applications across the enterprise.

Fidelity has developed interfaces that integrate its software with other Websphere MQ-enabled applications systems.

Ramon Sales, senior vice president, Bank of the Philippine Islands, says: "With EAI, our goal is to deliver consistent, real-time access to data for users and customers, regardless of platform or application."
