Bank of Ireland is installing Transoft International's OptiCa$h, OptiNet and OptiVault applications for the management of physical cash logistics across the enterprise.
The bank will switch all its branches, ATMs and vaults over to the Transoft applications over the course of a year.
Transoft's OptiCa$h system uses historical bank and ATM data to predict the demand for currency at each cash machine. OptiNet is a Web-enabled branch and carrier communications tool while OptiVault is a vault consolidation application designed to optimise currency and coin ordering and clearing for bank money rooms and carrier vaults.
North Carolina-based Transoft says it is currently seeing much success and expansion in Europe due to market changes following the introduction of the euro.
