CBOE to use HyperFeed MEPS solution for auto-quote service

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is to use HyperFeed Technologies' newly-released Managed Exchange Platform Services (MEPS) product to provide data for auto quoting in its new Hybrid Trading System, CBOEdirect HyTS.

CBOE says auto quote functionality and market data management services will be essential components of the Hybrid Trading System, which is scheduled to launch later this month.

The MEPS package will be installed onsite at CBOE in a self-contained ticker plant, while Hyperfeed remotely manages the data quality and exchange permissioning.

The product, which was formally launched today by HyperFeed, consists of five componets - front end processors (FEPs), data management, value added services, technologies and tools and adaptors - and CBOE will be utilising specific services from all components to power a variety of hybrid auto quote devices.

Jim Porter, HyperFeed's CEO, says: "MEPS offers the performance of exchange feed handlers with the benefits of a true ticker plant including data and symbology management, indices generation, data cleansing and entitlement permissions."
