French banking group Caisse d'Epargne is to install a data warehouse from NCR subsidiary Teradata to integrate, standardise and manage information from its 26 million customers.
NCR says the new 30-terabyte Teradata warehouse will be the largest in Europe and will be able to manage up to 2500 data items per customer.
The system will eliminate disparate databases and provide staff with a consistent and comprehensive view of every customer, allowing member banks to provide personalised customer services across channels.
The warehouse will also be used to provide detailed and current customer information to marketing, sales, human resources and risk management departments.
