Under the agreement, Yorkshire will implement Eontec's BankFrame e-Mortgage component to handle the full lifecycle of a mortgage application on the Web, including remote initial application and joint application, and approval in priniciple within seconds.

Jim Callan, CEO, Eontec says BankFrame's reusable banking processes, built using Enterprise Java Beans, will allow YBS to add new applications as required within a multi-channel delivery environment.

David Anderson, CEO, YBS adds: "Our business strategy is focused on integrating all points of customer contact within the company. We want all channels to be readily available to our customers and backed-up with a high quality of service."

The on-line mortgage application processing system, developed in conjunction with Hewlett-Packard and BEA, is due for initial launch early 2001.
