Under the contract, Savvis will market and support InfoDyne's ticker plant products to its financial services clients around the world. The software can be interfaced with market data integration platforms including Tibco/RV and Triarch/RMDS, as well as InfoDyne's own Middleware2.

InfoDyne says the package of combined network and software services will help firms achieve faster access to key market data and will reduce costs by eliminating vendor fees. In addition, the technology can also be used by firms who supplement direct feeds with a consolidator's fundamental data and quotes from secondary global exchanges.

The vendors have also announced plans to launch a jointly managed service later this year that will offer financial firms access to direct feeds from multiple exchanges through a single Savvis connection.

Terence Donnelly, vice president, business development, Savvis, says the service will eliminate the need to install and maintain a complete ticker plant solution on site.

"We see strong demand by our sell side and buy side customers for a complete solution that unleashes the power of direct exchange feeds in a TIB or Triarch environment," he adds.
