FTSE to move to global real-time data distribution via RadianzNet

The FTSE Group is to launch a global real-time data distribution service using Radianz's global financial extranet, RadianzNet.

RadianzNet will provide the Internet Protocol (IP) network connectivity needed for the service, which will support the growing use of FTSE's international indices by investors around the world. Distribution software will be provided by Kinetic, suppliers of FTSE real time platform technology.

The data distribution service will provide clients from all major cities with round-the-clock access to FTSE's network.

Market Data vendors Bloomberg, Telekurs Financial and Thomson are in the latter stages of systems testing and are expected to go live by the end of Q2 2003.

FTSE says vendors and distributors of its data who are currently receiving indices via the London Stock Exchange's LMIL distribution system will be required to switch to the new distribution network by the end of Q1 2004, either directly or via a sub-vendor.
